Zno Nano Flowers Catalyzed Synthesis, Luminescence and Antimicrobial Studies of Some Y– Shaped Imidazole Derivatives

A sequence of tremendous new derivative 2-styryl imidazole is premeditated and generated using nano ZnO flowers as a cost-effective catalyst. 1H and 13C-NMR spectral investigations were used for characterised the synthesized compounds. This nano catalyst possesses qualities such as high yield, fast reactions and tremendous variations in the usage of subtrates. Absorption as well as emission behaviour of imidazole derivatives were analysed in verity of solvents. From the investigations carried out on emission spectrum, it has been noticed that the emission band is shifted to higher energy for non fluoro substituted imidazole derivative 1 when compared to that of the remaining imidazoles in common solvents. The reason for the spectral shifts is owing to greater electron-acceptance nature of the atoms present in compounds 2, 3 and 4 of fluorine. Only a minimum quantum yield was obtained which leads to change in the planar characteristics when excited and supported using styryl ring non coplanarity attached to the imidazole ring C(2) and N(1) atoms of. Synthesized imidazoles were adopted for anti-microbial studies.
